In the back of my mind, I always wondered why some people do really well after their transplant and other don’t. Why for instance some patients can miss doses, be on fewer drugs and in some cases over time not even taken their meds any more. I believed that it had something to do with the genetic makeup and I also beleived that it traveled in families (i.e. families with the same disease all tending to do well and keeping their kidneys for a long time). Well science has finally proven that point and I’m sure there is a lot more to for us to learn – in the mean time, I want to know how I go about getting signed up to test my genes for Kidney Transplant Tolerance!!!

I’m interested to find out more. I’m a kidney transplant receptant and my medication is giving me chronic nerrophisis. Something has to be done.
